Another exciting step toward the return to Air Racing took place in Roswell today as ground was broken on the BRAND NEW GRANDSTANDS!
A prominent mix of Air Racing and City of Roswell leadership gathered for the groundbreaking, including NCAR CEO Fred Telling, NCAR President and COO Tony Logoteta, Roswell Air Center Director Bobbi Thompson, Roswell City Manager Chad Cole and Roswell Mayor Tim Jennings.
This moment provides a strong visual for all of the tireless efforts being put forth behind the scenes at the National Championship Air Races. The Grandstand project alone has required months and months of planning to ensure these remain a beloved feature of Air Racing for decades to come.
This moment coincides with the NCAR ticket renewals currently taking place, as fans begin to fill their checkout carts with the seats that today’s groundbreaking ushers forward.
