The National Championship Air Races had the honor to be a part of a big announcement last week at the FlightSim Expo in Las Vegas. At the Expo, it was made public that this November’s release of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator 2024 will include – at no additional cost – the original Expanship Pack version of the Reno Air Races simulation, four starter aircraft AND race courses featured at the new home of the Air Races in Roswell, New Mexico!

With the first Air Races in Roswell not taking place until 2025, this means users will have the opportunity to fly courses that the actual racers have yet to fly!

These additions build from the Air Races’ original inclusion in the simulator that began in 2021. As Reno Air Racing Association COO Tony Logoteta noted in front of a live audience at the FlightSim Expo, working with Microsoft has been “a wonderful partnership, and the detail they put in was amazing. Way beyond anything we could’ve imagined. The response has been fantastic… We can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 launches on November 19th. There are many exciting updates to the previous iteration, and the National Championship Air Races were proud to be one of their top “wishlist” upgrades announced at the Expo.
