The interpretation of the rules shall rest with the Reno Air Racing Association and the Contest Committee.
Thursday, September 5, 0800 – Saturday, September 7, 1200
(All race aircraft must be in place at Reno Stead Airport no later than 1200 hours on the Saturday preceding Race Week.)
Friday, September 6, 2019, 1300-1700
Saturday, September 7, 2019, 0800-1200 and 1300-1700
Mass Pilot In-brief: September 8, 2019 – Time: 0700 and 1000 (Either brief meets the In-brief requirement)
Practice Periods: September 8, 2019
Qualification Periods: September 9, 10, and 11(am), 2019
Race Events: September 11(12pm), 12, 13, 14, and 15, 2019
Race Schedule: The STIHL National Championship Air Races most recent schedule will be updated daily during the races. A planning schedule will be posted approximately a week before racing begins. However, the schedule is subject to change due to weather, safety and flight operational considerations. A current copy of the schedule will be available during the pilot briefing at the beginning of each day.
Racer Entry & Application
The Entry Deadline is Friday, June 21, 2019, aircraft documents, pilot documents and additional paperwork deadline is Friday, June 28, 2019.
All entries must be in by Friday, 5pm, June 21, 2019 will be considered “on-time”. Any entries accepted after Friday, June 21, 2019 will be considered conditional. All entries must also submit a fully completed Entry Package no later than 5pm, Pacific, Friday, June 28, 2019 to retain their status. (A completed entry package must include all required Entry Information, Pilot/Alt Pilot (if applicable) Information, Aircraft information and photos as identified in the 2019 Entrant’s Checklist).
