Reno, Nev. – The Reno Air Racing Association (RARA) has secured its 501(c)(3), non-profit status. This will be the first year the organization will operate as a non-profit, bringing benefits to both RARA and its donors.

“This is huge for us and the future of the air races,” said Mike Crowell, CEO of the Reno Air Racing Association. “The Reno Air Races have always been a community event and we look forward to doing even more to help grow our fan base. The Reno Air Races are a national event that produces almost $70 million of economic value for our city and state. Being a non-profit will provide financial aid that will enable us to sustain the event for years to come.”

In addition to many benefits, the new status means that contributions and donations will now be tax-deductible to the donor.

Tickets are now on sale for the 52nd Annual National Championship Air Races held Sept. 16-20, 2015 at Reno Stead Airport. For more information or to volunteer visit: https://airrace.org.
