One of air racing’s greatest aviators, Steve Hinton, has been inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America for 2027, and if you know air racing, you know exactly why.
Two Unlimited championships with the National Championship Air Races. A world speed record of 499.046 MPH in “Red Baron” that stood for a decade. And a career that took him from the race course to Hollywood, coordinating aerial sequences for films like Pearl Harbor.
Legendary doesn’t cover it. Congratulations, Steve.
