Roswell New Mexico | Roswell Air Center
The Palm Springs Air Museum proudly presents “Bunny”, a P-51D Mustang. This aircraft is painted in the color scheme and markings to reflect the P-51 flown by the late Tuskegee Airman, Lt. Col. Robert “Bob” Friend, to whom the plane is dedicated. The Museum’s P-63 King Cobra, “Pretty Polly”, is named after the daughter of Museum Founder, Bob Pond, who purchased theplane during the 1980’s.
This is the oldest P-63 currently flying today. Pretty Polly was the 4th P-63 to come out of Bell Aircraft and its paint scheme & colors are in the original design. Enjoy the P-63’s sleekness and rarity.
Palm Springs Air Museum is a non-profit educational flying history museum, incorporated in 1994, and opened to the public in 1996. Its mission is the preservation of aircraft, honoring veterans and educating the public and future educations about how air power helps preserve American liberties and way of life.
