John Agather is President/CEO of A.I.C., an investment company based in San Antonio, Texas. John is a multi-engine and instrument-rated pilot, and previously served as President/CEO of Absolute Aviation, an avionics company that provided cockpit voice recorder installation support for aircraft. John has served on the boards of a number of civic organizations, including the San Antonio International Airport Board, Commemorative Air Force and the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
Mary Beth Sewald has more than 25 years experience in the Broadcast Television industry. Having held every position from news reporting, to sales, to station management. She is the President of Nevada Broadcasters Association.
Mary Beth is a single engine-rated pilot and currently serves as Vice Chair of Sponsorships for the Reno Air Races. She served 4 years on the Air Race Foundation board and is currently on the board of the Nevada Military Support Alliance, Hot August Nights Foundation and City National Bank Advisory Board.
Joey Scolari is CEO of Scolari’s Food and Drug Company, headquartered in Reno. Joey is an accomplished pilot of both propeller and jet-powered planes. He has been a board member since 1993, is a member of the Executive Committee and serves as Secretary. He served as Chairman of the board in 2002 and 2003. Joey Scolari was named RARA’s “Man of the Year” for 2006.
Terry Matter retired from the Northrop Grumman Corporation in 1998, after a 30-year career in Product Support Services for the company’s aircraft models used around the world. He began attending the Reno Air Races in 1969 and was a pylon judge before joining the RARA Board of Directors in 2004. A licensed commercial pilot with flight instructor with 47 years of flying experience, Terry owns a vintage Cessna 182 aircraft based at the Reno Stead Airport.
General Chilton is a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force Academy, with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Engineering Sciences, a Columbia University Guggenheim Fellow with a Master of Sciences degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force pilot training and test pilot schools. He also was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Creighton University.
An avid racing fan, Telling is type rated in Citation jets and the DC-3, and is both fixed wing and rotorcraft rated. He and his wife Barbara reside in Daytona Beach, FL, and enjoy flying their 2014 Citation M2. The couple also owns a collection of North American Aviation aircraft – “Lady B”, a 1944 P-51D, “Almost Perfect”, a stock T-6G and “Baby Boomer”, a 1940 Harvard, which Telling raced in the T-6 class in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008. From 2011 through 2013, Lee Oman raced “Baby Boomer” and for the last four years, “Baby Boomer” has been raced by Gene McNeely.
