Reno weather

September weather in Reno can be quite variable, with temperatures climbing into the 90s [degrees Fahrenheit], or descending into the 30s - snow has even been known to fall during Race Week. In fair weather, the sun is quite intense, and there is little shade or shelter in the grandstands, on the ramp, or in the pits. Please wear sensible clothing and footwear, and stay hydrated.

A great way to beat the weather is to take advantage of a Checkered Flag Club or Chairman's Tent membership, both of which offer shaded areas to rest and relax. Or enjoy a beverage from one of the many concessionaires located throughout the event site.
