Weekly Recreational Vehicle Reserved Parking

Stay close to the action by bringing your recreational vehicle to the Reno Air Races. Weekly reserved RV parking lots lie within easy walking distance of entrances to the event site.

Each lot is dry camping on a dirt lot - no water, electrical, or sewer hookups are available. Drive-through sewer pumping and water supply trucks visit both the Optimist and West Lot, and provide services for an additional fee. Portable toilets are available in both lots for your convenience.

Pets are welcome with you in the RV Lot, but are not allowed into the airport grounds during the event.

BBQ’s are allowed, but open campfires are not permitted.

Advance reservations are highly recommended. Reservation fees are for the entire week. No daily rates are available. You can can enter your reserved lot space as early as Sunday 12 Sep and stay through Monday 20 Sep.

West Lot

The most popular RV lot due to its prime location with views of the race course, the West RV Lot provides a dry camping RV space in either 18-foot by 30-foot or 18-foot by 50-foot spaces. The West RV Lot [labeled "L1" on the site map] is located at the Southwest corner of Reno Stead Field, west of the RARA/Biplane/Formula One Hangar. Access into the event from the West gate requires a season pit pass in addition to season general admission, reserved seating, or box seat tickets, which must be purchased at the time you make your RV reservation. West Lot RV guests have first choice to reserve the same space at the next year’s races.

Optimist Lot

The Optimist Club of Reno and RARA team up to provide dry camping RV sites in a variety of sizes in lots [labeled "L15" on the site map] located just outside of the Pit Gate. Spaces are assigned based on the length, and width of your recreational vehicle or trailer and include enough space for one additional vehicle. Recreational vehicles of equal to our greater than forty (40) feet require a Premium [20-foot by 50-foot] space.

A drive-up sewer dump site and water refill area is located in the lot.

There are no mandatory ticket purchase requirements to park in the Optimist RV lot. However, as passage through the nearest entrance to the venue, the East Pit Gate [labeled "GP" on the site map] requires a Pit Pass, purchasing a Pit Pass with your admission tickets is highly recommended.

Advanced reservations may be made beginning 01 May 2010 by calling the RARA office at 775-972-6663. On-site reservations can be made on a first-come/first-served basis starting 13 September 2010.

Tent camping is also available in the Optimist Lot. Up to two 4-person tents and 1 car can fit into one space. Showers are available at the nearby St. Michaels Church for a small fee.

St. Michael’s Church

RV and tent camping is also available on the grounds of St. Michael's Church [labeled "L13" on the site map]. For more information call 775-972-7462.
