general information
Pilots interested in receiving from the Reno Air Racing Association an invitation to participate in the 2010 National Championship Air Races must download and complete the APPLICATION TO PARTICIPATE.
The Application contains the following items:
- Information Letter: overview of application process, notable items, and procedural requirements & changes
- Operational Rules and Regulations - Reno/Stead Airport: fuel, oxygen, support equipment & personnel, traffic restrictions, maintenance, first aid, and emergency information
- Entrant's Checklist: comprehensive list of required documentation
- Entry Form
- Credential Form: request credentials for vehicles, crew, and support personnel [all credentials are issued at on-site pilot registration]
- Prize Money Information form: to whom do we make out the check?
- Participant Merchandise Sales requirements: information about selling merchandise in the pits or the concession areas
- Pit Area Concession Application: must be submitted whether or not you will be selling merchandise in the pits
- Participant Insurance Requirements: make sure your insurance coverage is complete
- Race Pilot, Alternate Pilot, and Aircraft Owner(s) Release of Liability
- Pilot Data: pilot information and photo
- Pilot Medical Information: emergency contact information and flight review certification
- Alternate Pilot Data
- Alternate Pilot Medical Information
- Aircraft Data and Safety Data Information: aircraft description, battery/fluids/escape system information
- Safety Data Sheet Diagram: top and side view sketches or photos of aircraft indicating locations of batteries, fluids, escape system
Please note that:
- All entries received by Tue 30 Jun 2009 will be considered "on-time". Any entries accepted after Tue 30 Jun 2009 will be considered "conditional".
- All applicants must also submit a fully completed entry package no later than Fri 31 Jul 2009 to preserve their on-time application status. A completed entry package must include all required entry information, pilot/alternate pilot (if applicable) information, aircraft information and photos as identified in the "Entrant’s Checklist" included in the package.
- RARA is not permitted to accept any documents from prior years. All entrants must submit all new paperwork. Entrants who submit paperwork as part of their participation in this year's Pylon Racing Seminar [PRS] are not required submit duplicate paperwork with their race application as long as no information has changed and the information submitted at PRS is still current/valid through Sun 20 Sep.
