The purpose of this page is to provide information for the Race Participants. Please check back often for new information and updates.

Race Schedule


1200 Friday, September 5 - 1200 Saturday, September 6 (All race aircraft must be in-place at Reno Stead no later than 1200 hours on the Saturday preceding Race Week.)

Pilot Registration: Pilot Registration is located at the Southwest corner of Biplane and F1 Class Aircraft Hangar (A2 on the site map), just behind (south of) the briefing room. (Different times from previous years)

  • Friday, September 5, 2014,  1300-1700
  • Saturday, September 6, 2014, 0800-1700

Mass Pilot Inbrief: September 7, 2014 - Time: TBA

Practice Period: September 7, 2014

Qualification Period: September 8, 9, and 10(am), 2014

Races: September 10(pm), 11, 12, 13 AND 14, 2014

Race Schedule: The National Championship Air Races most recent schedule can be found here. However, the schedule is subject to change due to weather, safety and flight operational considerations. A current copy of the schedule will be available during the pilot briefing at the beginning of each day.

Race Entry

The Entry Deadline is Friday, June 20th

The Paperwork Deadline is Friday, July 18th

All entries received by Friday, June 20, 2014 will be considered “on-time”. Any entries accepted after Friday, June 20, 2014 will be considered conditional. All entries must also submit a fully completed entry package no later than Friday, July 18, 2014 to retain their status. (A completed entry package must include all required Entry Information, Pilot/Alt Pilot (if applicable) Information, Aircraft information and photos as identified in the 2014 Entrant’s Checklist.
