Tickets for the 2015 National Championship Air Races are on sale!
Tickets are available on our website up to the day of the event. The last day to order your General Admission or Reserved Seat tickets through the Air Race office is Friday, August 07, 2015 The office accepts Visa, American Express and MasterCard only. You can purchase tickets at the gate, or purchase them through the website and print them up through Race Week (Sept. 16 – 20). They will be scanned at the gate.
Reserved Seating will get you entrance into the event and an assigned seat in the Reserved seat grandstands, through the static display areas, Military, vendor and food area. You can leave your seat and when you come back it will still be there.These seats are centered with Home Pylon and the start and finish line. It does not include a Pit Pass.
General Admission will get you entrance into the event, through the static display areas, Military, vendor and food area. They are not assigned seats.If you get up you may not have a seat when you come back. Handicap seating is located in front of the General Admission grandstands. It does not include a Pit pass. These tickets do not sell out.

The Pit Pass allows you an up close experience with the pilots, planes and crews. Roam amongst the incredible aircraft while enjoying the races and aerobatic performances. Rows are filled with championship planes, like Strega, flown by the youngest pilot to ever compete and win, Steve Hinton and storied pilots and crews like John Penney (Rare Bear), former NASA astronaut Curt Brown (Viper), Tom Aberle (Phantom) and Dennis Buehn (Midnight Miss III).

Box Seating is 3 rows of flightline seating for all five days. A minimum purchase of 10 seats, (max 15). Includes entrance into the event, Pit Passes, parking passes, cooler stickers and a souvenir sign, for a week long experience.
“Daily” Box Seats
Box Seat (DAILY) are individual box seats on the 3rd row of box seating. Buy for one person or for 15 people, one day or buy for the week. (You do not need to have 10 people to purchase the Daily Box Seat) It includes entrance into the event, and a pit pass. Parking can be purchased at the parking lots. but no coolers are allowed in “daily” box seats. You will be assigned a box, but not a specific seat in the box. (Maximum capacity is 15 per day.) The daily box seats can be purchased through the Air Race office (775)972-6663, until August 7, 2015. After this date they will be sold at the Ticket Booth starting Monday,September 14, 2015. We normally do not sell out of them.
High G Ridge

Chairman Hospitality Tent is a place to stop by and enjoy food (including hot entrees) and beverages (including a full-service bar) near the reserved seat grandstands, the box seating, and air show center.
Access to the Chairman’s Hospitality Tent requires a General Admission or Reserved Seat ticket [which must be purchased separately], plus a Chairman’s Hospitality Tent pass. Click for more info.
Attend the Champion Awards Banquet on Sunday September 20th at 6pm. Enjoy a dinner with all the fixings and a no-host bar. Watch the awards ceremony and see us award the Unlimited Gold Winner. This event takes place in the RARA hangar at the West end of the airport. Cost for dinner is $45.00.
On-site ticket sales at Reno Stead Field begin Monday and Tuesday, Sept.14-15, 2015 at 8 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday (Race Week) tickets will be on sale starting at 7 when the gates open.
All orders for RV Parking and the Full Box Seats will still be taken up until race week through the office at (775) 972-6663. Reserved or Handicap parking can be purchased at the parking lot.
No matter what time of year tickets are ordered, they are mailed beginning in mid-summer through the first week in September.
There are NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES.
Where To Park
The reserved automobile parking area, located within the main gate (L5 on the site map), is within easy walking distance of the grandstands, box seating and pit entrance. Season parking reservations may be purchased in advance.
Partial week or pro-rated payments are not accepted for pre-purchased reservations; however, you may purchase non-reserved auto parking on site for $10/day. Vehicles may not remain in any automobile parking lot overnight.
Handicap parking is available for vehicles displaying official handicap plates or placards. Shuttle service is provided from the handicap parking lot to the main gate.
There are two reserved parking areas for recreational vehicles. The Optimist Lot is located north of Echo Avenue, east of Mt. Vida St. and across from Gate 2. The West Lot is located at the far west end of the field, west of the RARA hangar. RV permits are for the entire event only. No daily permits for RVs are available.
Amador Stage LinesShuttle buses are available, operating daily from Thursday through Sunday of Race Week in September between downtown Reno and Sparks and Reno SteadField. A pass is required for all passengers over the age of 5.
You can purchase a pass at the following locations: John Ascuaga’s Nugget, Grand Sierra, Atlantis Casino and Spa, Peppermill, Harrah’s Reno and the El Dorado Casino on the day you are going to board the bus. The Air Race office sells 3 day and 4 day passes only and must be ordered before July 31, 2015. Then all sales for the shuttle must go through the shuttle pick up points at the hotels.
Shuttle service runs approximately every 15 to 30 minutes. Departures are from 7:00am to 1:00pm. Returns are from 2:00pm to one hour after the last race.
Every inch of the Reno-Stead Airport is occupied by participants and vendors during the week of the National Championship Air Races. All non-participating aircraft should choose Reno-Tahoe Airport, Carson City Airport, Truckee Airport, or other Northern Nevada/California airports as their destination, with surface transportation from your arrival airport to the Reno-Stead Airport. Those landing in Reno-Tahoe Airport can take a short cab ride to the Grand Sierra Resort and catch the shuttle bus from there. If you plan to drive to the Races, use Route 395 North from the Reno/Sparks area.

RV parking is available in the West RV or Optimist Lot. Camping at our site is dry – there are no water or power hookups. Water trucks and sanitary dump trucks do come through on a daily basis. You may come as early as the Saturday before, and stay through the Monday after the race. The cost for the West lot RV will be $285 for a small space (approximately 18’ x 34’) and $396.00 for a large space (approximately 18’ x 45’). There are no daily rates. In addition to the RV you must purchase Season Tickets and Season Pit Pass, as you will be entering through the Pit gates.
